We’re still stuck with Royster

March 25, 2004 in The Wire

WEEK: Royster Doesn’t Get The Nod

A school superintendent with ties to central Illinois will be the new head of a St. Louis areas district, but it won’t be Kay Royster.

The Peoria School District 150 chief interviewed on Monday, but the Parkway Board of education announced Thursday morning Dr. Robert Malito will be the new superintendent effective July 1, 2004. Malito is currently the superintendent of the Township High School District 211 in Palatine, Illinois.

Malito used to be the superintendent for McLean County Unit 5 before
leaving for Palatine.

I wonder — will her apologists supporters on the School Board file a complaint with the feds on her behalf? After all, they picked a white
male. They /must/ be prejudiced.
