FAX: Adoption plans for the mayor

Via Peoria City Hall press release:


Mayor Ardis will hold a news conference today at 10:00 a.m. in Room 400 at City Hall.
The purpose of the news conference will be to announce the name of the city in the gulf coast that will be adopted by the Peoria area.

Now this is what I call a Sister City program.

    Hmmmmm, just that huh, for a minute I was all excited thinking some other city was going to adopt our Mayor and give us a real one! “Just kidding… maybe”

    Be nice. I like our new mayor. He’s a big improvement over the last one.

    I said just kiddin… :) ~ and you are exactly right about the big improvememnt part, only I was hoping for someone with a little more in common with “Average Jill & Joe Peoria”, but Ardis is fine…
