LaHood is on the road again, and we’re paying for it
Another trip for globetrotting Congressman Ray:
U.S. Rep. Ray LaHood, R-Peoria, is joining House Speaker Dennis Hastert, R-Plano, and other House members on a 10-day trip starting Monday to India, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
LaHood said U.S. Rep. Jerry Costello, D-Belleville, is one of two Democrats going on the government-paid trip, which he said involves about 10 members of Congress.
When he got caught traveling on the dime of lobbyists and special interests, he defended himself saying that the trips didn’t cost taxpayers a dime.
So, we can assume that LaHood thinks the public has a right to complain because this trip is a taxpayer funded junket?

Are you going to point out that other congressmen take trips?
No, he just needs a reason to bitch about LaHood
1. I live in the 18th District, so forgive me for being concerned with the conduct of the Congressman serving this district.
2. Foreign travel and who pays for it has been an issue with this congresman, and not just with me.
3. The article to which I linked makes it clear he is traveling with other congressmen.
4. I am making a point about LaHood’s seeming double standard regardign who pays for the travel.
It’s not like he’s taking a vacation on the taxpayer’s dime.
LaHood cancelled that trip.
Bill is blogging on the donation dime, you would think he would understand trying to defray out of pocket costs.
