A request for Peoria media

February 24, 2006
By Billy Dennis

It has been suggested on another blog that perhaps I ought to put my money where my mouth is and actually ask Ray LaHood those questions that I frequently castigate Peoria news organizations for not asking the man.

The problem is that I am not exactly on LaHood’s media contact list. I don’t know about LaHood’s appearances in Peoria until after they are over.

So here’s the solution: I am making an open request to all reporters and editors to please contact me — of the record of course — about any press conferences, media availabilities, appearances or old-fashioned ribbon cuttings at which Rep. LaHood is scheduled to attend. Until then, I will develop a list of questions that I have been dying to ask the man.

I can be reached at peoriapundit@gmail.com or via Yahoo! Messenger, username: peoriapundit.

Fair warning: I have a full time job, and I do have to sleep sometime when I am not blogging. Just knowing about it doesn’t mean I’ll be able to attend.

I have one question for Congressman LaHood…… “are you planning to retire in 2024?”
