Eeeeeeaaaaaassy there, stomach

Bad news for the taste-buds and stomachs of Peoria School District students. They’s decided to go ahead and rehire Aramark to provide cafeteria food:

In the two years that Aramark has run the district’s food service, the quality of food and the cost to the district have both proved controversial. Aramark also is tied to a recent incident in which taco shells were believed to have caused the illnesses of about 80 students in December. At the time, Aramark contracted with a local supplier that provided the tacos. Aramark no longer serves those tacos.

Anyone who knows me knows that i will eat just about anything.

I would not eat at a District 150 cafeteria if you paid me.

Vending machines to make money with no regard for the health of the kids, tests taught to kids for the sake of funding, crappy food to save a buck. 150 sucks ass and the students should rise up and crush them, mass walkouts, the weather is great, a perfect time for a protest. Or maybe the kids care even less than the parents and the parents care even less than the administrators…

Having been at a number of places which hire Aramark to do food service, I can say that how much Aramark gets paid is directly proportional to the quality of the food they’ll give your organization.

Hey have you ever ate at the schools?? I have and quite often. Never got sick and yes I along with the Prinicpal ate chicken tacos that day at Loucks. We never got sick. Here’s what happened. A little girl who came to school ill, threw up in the office. The nurse called her granmdmother, no number for the mother, and granny said to just put her on the bus after school. A little boy came into the office, saw the puke and he to said he was ill. The nurse called 911 and said see had some children ill, they sent 2 ambulances and those chjasers at WMBD picked it up on the scanner. They almost beat the ambulances to the school. Next, the Principal announces over the PA, anyone feeling sick from lunch, go to the gym, the stampeed was on? Some children were feeling well enough to standup in front of a news camera. Aramark sent all smaples, including the same food served at all the other schools to a private lab in PA. Negative results. Bear in mind, food poisioning takes longer than 30 minutes after you eat lunch and the same girl was back in class the next day although her mother had a lawyer. Hmmm I have to ask, Has school lunches ever been good? Even before Aramark? Try the pizza at Peoria High. Ten times better than Pizza Hut. I am not sticking up for Aramark, but the real problem with them is they have incompetent management staff with one “head” quiting already. The people who work in the schoioil cafeterias are district 150 employees. The people they have running Aramark here are not qualified to run the Burger King. Also, the real idiots here are the local Health department. Where is there report??????

And people are actually perplexed that we have fat sick kids?

The best way is the cheap way! Shut up and eat it! Also you have to consider that schools still teach that Christopher Columbus discovered america…WTF.

    Were all screwed!

BTW, the suspected Taco shells where from a local distributer, Walh’s Foods. They were never found to be the cause, in fact our Health Dept says it was children sick with the stomach flu and sent to school anyway that was the cause….
