FeedIt’s time for a blogger bash

I know it’s short notice, but I feel the need to congregate and commiserate with my fellow citizen journalists.
So I’m calling for a Blogger Bash for Tuesday, May 30, at Whitey’s Tip Top Inn, 2601 N. Sheridan Road. The fun and festivities start at 8 p.m.

Do you have a copy of my travel calendar that you keep scheduling these for when I’m out of town?
I’m becoming terribly offended–can we get one while I’m actually here?
I’m for trying it again in June when I’m here all month.

I think it should just be a standard rule that we have blogger bash the fifth Tuesday of any month that has a fifth Tuesday. That would assure us for four bashes per year, and we could add more if we want….
Will Eyebrows be attending this time? Or Polly? Or, you know who I would really like to see come to one of these? Vonster. Wouldn’t that be a hoot! You know the night would end in some sort of bar brawl. Ha ha ha!

My last comment has vanished into the ether… I’m guessing because I uttered the name that cannot be uttered here (rhymes with “pond-stir”). So, I’ll try again, this time without the offending monicker.
I think we should just make it a standing rule that there will be a blogger bash on the fifth Tuesday of every month that has a fifth Tuesday — the council never meets that night, and it would assure us of four bashes per year. We can always add more if we want, too, of course….
I hope Eyebrows shows up this time! And Polly. O, Polly, where art thou? And… oops, I almost mentioned his name again…. Shame on me!

I realize that I’m not as highly sought after as Polly or Ms. McGee, but unless the wrath of some higher being is bestowed upon me, I can make this one. Now if I just remember to put it in my calendar.

I’d like to see Chef Kevin, too. Didn’t mean to leave anyone out. Maybe Mazr, Peoria Snarker, Creedy, Emtronics, etc., and the omnipresent “Anonymous” bloggers can all come out, too!

I will probably NOT be there; I’m taking my first vacation in two years next week, albeit the kind of vacation one takes in one’s own backyard, and I think I’ll probably be asleep in the hammock and unwilling to have to actually put clothes on that allow one to leave the house.
(Also, Wednesday morning the cats go to the vet and if there’s anything worse than vet day in my house, it’s vet day with a hangover.)
However, I do have a little something up my sleeve, I think for later this summer, involving an Eyebrows coming-out party. We’ll have to see.

I would like to be there. Providing a) I can talk Di into it and b) I’m home in time to catch the season premiere of the best show on television, Rescue Me.
That show cannot…repeat, cannot…be missed. Matter ‘o fact, I think you ought to change the Bash to Wednesday so everyone can see Denis Leary’s masterpiece.

Dennis, I would be the first to bring snacks, but that would be against my principles. I NEVER bring food or drink (and I don’t think anyone else should either, but there is a topic for a blog) into an establishment that serves food and drink.
Hmmm… maybe a Bloggers BBQ this fall? (HA! in Glen Oak Park if there is a park left to have a BBQ in!!)
