Phil Luciano informs us of a Web site where police officers complain about fellow officers who are rude enough to give other cops (as well as friends and family members) traffic tickets. My two cents: At first, I had a feeling that most, if not all, of the complaints” are written by the cops who gave the tickets. But after I read the thing, I’m convinced that the complaints are real, and that they are from people who are completely clueless as to how they sound to ordinary people. We are police officers, and the laws that apply to ordinary mortals should not apply to us. I’m not surprised that many police officers find the site offensive. What’s next, a site listing businesses cops can get freebies?

Ahhh … there’s as entertaining as like a cat fight. Reowr!

The Peoria County Coroner has determined that when you get your sorry ass shot buying drugs, it’s a homicide. Now, if we can just convince State’s Attorney Kevin Lyons that druggies who stab their dealer inside crackhouses should be charged with a crime.

Too much stimulation, and you’ll shoot your wad. Literally.

Since their own union won’t help, Cat retirees have gotten a little bit of help from the AARP. I’m sure Big Yellow is quaking in its boots.

With sites like that… no wonder people get such a negative impression regarding the police. But then I suppose it also reveals how anal some of the rules of the road are too.

    Bill,

Going back and ranting about old killings while misconstruing the facts doesn’t do your argument well.

For example, let’s say at your upcoming blogger bash Vonster decides to show up and the two of you start talking and try to clear things up. Let’s add the two of you break off and go behind the building to share a blunt and Vonster gets angry that you are bogarting the blunt and then he REALLY tries to bury the hatchet.

So while he is trying to take the PP out, you pull that Nighttrain Express bottle out of your back pocket and righteously knock Vonster upside the head and cancel the Vonster’s ticket and ending his days of not letting people see the posts on his “blog”.

Now, (and remember, this is all imaginary) should you be charged with murder? Yes, you would have committed a homicide, but not murder. There is a difference.

As for this little website, I find it quite hypocritical of people like Luciano where they air the dirty laundry of other occupations but fail to do the same when it comes to their own.

From one of the whining officers on that web site…
“It is truly sad that there are some real cowboys out there who really do not understand what being a cop is all about.”

I hate this site for shattering my little illusion that the law applies equally to everyone.

“Too much stimulation, and you’ll shoot your wad. Literally.”

The last name of the overstimulated gentleman who irresponsibly shot his wad is “Little”. Poor punk must have a complex. Someone call Dr. Phil!

You mean there are people out there who don’t know that police officers show each other “professional courtesy” when caught speeding or committing other minor infractions? I thought that was common knowledge. Still, it’s pretty stupid to advertise it on the web and complain about those who don’t show “professional courtesy.”

I think those Cat retirees may well have a fighting chance with AARP support. AARP is well-organized, savvy and relentless in their advocacy of Senior Rights. Big Yellow may well be shamed into coming to the table.

Unlawful use a a firearm by a felon? Felons aren’t supposed to have firearms. Well, legally, that is. One more example that guns laws only apply to law abiding folk, and not to the criminal element.
