A fair trial and a fine hanging for rapist/murderers?

I don’t know if any of the total of six soldiers charged in connection with the rape of an Iraqi female and the murder of her and her family are in fact guilty. I know that will and should receive a fair trial, if they are guilty, they should face the stiffest punishment possible. Such a crime is horrific enough. The time and place of the crime lends aid and comfort to the enemy, which uses incidents like this to make their case that Americans are the enemy and must be driven out. The fact that Iraq was governed by a band of rapists and murderers before we came and removed them from power isn’t relevant.
