LaHood’s local reputation for fibbing gets noticed
A stinging comment about Ray LaHood from The So-Called “Austin Mayor” Blog:
Scientist tell us that lying is stressful, in part, because keeping a fictional story straight takes more mental effort than merely recalling the actual facts as they occurred. That hypothesis, however, rests upon an assumption that the person telling the falsehood possesses the basic intellectual capacity necessary to tell reality from fantasy.
In his fictional defense of Denny Hastert, Ray LaHood once again appears unstressed and unburdened by such an intellect.
It’s nothing that hasn’t been said before, either here (I’ve written volumes about LaHood’s problems telling the truth, not that the local media notices) or at Willy Nilly’s blog. But I thought it worth a visit for the photo alone, as well as the linky goodness.
(My apologies for not linking earlier).

Wow…and I had thought that “Willy Nilly” was hard on LaHood….
The most telling thing about Ray LaHood is his statement in the paper today that it is important for him to keep amassing millions in his “war chest”… so that no one will want to run against him.
Democracy at its finest.
This guy REALLY needs to be put out to pasture… NOW.
In the few months I’ve been looking at local blogs, I have yet to see anyone praise LaHood for anything … except maybe “bringin’ home the bacon.” Now I admit that the blogosphere is an extremely skewed sample, but I would think that the Dems might want to try harder to unseat him. I guess they only have so much money to throw around and LaHood’s pig summoning skills make him fairly secure. I’ll have to agree with Seniore Pasghetti – democracy at its finest.
Maybe the Greens should make a try for it … they don’t rely on big money donations anyway. They probably wouldn’t win, either … but at least they might campaign with more vigor than Waterworth & the local Dems.
