OK. We get it. You both hate Schock.

Schock is an effective, competent and balanced politician. He fights fair, he fights clean, he doesn’t resort to the trashing. Go Erin. He’s energetic, an outstanding listener, a unique voice, someone not yet sullied by a lifetime in politics. We’re lucky to have him in our part of the state working on EITHER side, BEFORE we ruin him. Don’t like him? Your prerogitive. Keep it holy. Go vote. He’d probably approve that you exercised your right to vote.

Regarding the womens’ shelter. I don’t see a genuine Schock connection…and where are the Freedomhouse board members? Where is Missy Simms? They seem to be the ones that have some real responsibility to bear in that tragedy.

The truth is, every negative item that is thrown at Schock never sticks. He has run a positive campaign and will win today’s election by a large margin. I originally intended to vote for Spears until his campaign ads (funded by Chicago Dems) completely misled the public about his opponent, especially in regards to Aaron accepting campaign donations from Ameren. The fact is, EVERY incumbent, whether Democrat or Republican received contributions from Ameren. Many, like Democrat Mike Smith of Canton, received $2500. Schock received less than most – $1300. Spears didn’t receive any money because he isn’t an incumbent from the Illinois General Assembly – and most likely won’t be in the foreseeable future.
