Mothers against violence meets

Mothers Against Violence will hold its monthly meeting on from 5:30-6:30, Thursday, Jan. 18, at the Downtown Peoria Public Library in the Basement Preview Room.

The speaker will be Chief Steve Settingsgaard of the Peoria Police Department. The group will discuss how women can play a more significant role in protecting their children and grandchildren against the current violence in Peoria, the status of cameras in other areas of the city. Childcare will be provided from 5:15 – 6:30 p.m.

The meeting is open to the public.
