Truncate the posts on the main blog page so that you can see more headlines. I think you have done this in the past, but maybe even take it further, and only display the first sentence or two. It would be better to see more headlines than more content on the main blog page…

I was pleased to see the Journal Star’s love note to me on Saturday’s page B1.
The reporters might not read the PJS, but they appear to read the Pundit.

Two suggestions:

Tony: I did have a plug in that did that. It was universally hated.
As to the portal page … we’ll see.
