Advice to the perpetually aggrieved: Grow up and get a life

June 28, 2007 in Overset

Good advice for the over-sensitive souls among us. This just may be the best column about religious sensitivity that I’ve ever read.

    AMEN!

I agree - but he dwells on Muslims for a really long time. He has a point, sure, the terrorists we're all worried about are indeed Muslims. But Islam is the largest religion on earth, numbers wise. I guess it's just seems far too close to bigotry coming from a Catholic. If he were just talking about oversensitivity in general - why did he dwell on Islam for so long if he weren't trying to make his heavy handed point a specific dig on the muslim community?

cgiselle: Link. Although he might have a point about those model railroader terrorists. I worked a store once that catered to model railroaders and those people are SCARY! ;)

    Have you read their book?

Thanks Eyebrows! Excellent link! Color me wrong, I suppose.I think, in my head, I tend to separate out Catholics from other forms of Christianity - and if you do that, Islam might be the biggest as it cuts that 33% in a couple pieces.I KNEW there was something about those folks obsessed with trains, too much time alone in the basement, maybe… hmmmmnnn

    HEY! I resemble that remark!
