In the doghouse
A have a co-worker in a troubling situation.
Because of a divorce (the details are not important), she finds herself being forced out of her rural home within the next 14 days.
She has four dogs, one of which came from an abusive situation. As a result, it tends to bark a lot. The former owners were apparently giving the drug illegal drugs and may in fact have been injecting the dog. It has a heart ailment common among those who use dirty needles.
Because of this, renting an apartment is out of the question, and a house in a compact urban neighborhood won’t work either. The dog simply cannot be given to someone else, as it gets aggressive when it feels threatened.
So I’m asking my readers for any leads on a home this woman can rent?

hate to be the bearer of bad news, but no landlord in their right mind would agree to allow a tenant to harbor a vicious dog.
NOT vicious. But the dog has bitten one person. And it’s an inside dog.
well then I will amend that to say no Landlord in their right mind would rent to a tenant with 4 dogs. and I LOVE dogs! They are just hard on property.
What she said. Good luck.
I’ll bet there are several landlords on the south end that would be happy to rent to someone with four dogs.
I was a former landlord and there was times when I would rather rent to four dogs than four children. The children were far harder on my property than the dogs ever were. Their owners took very good care of them. The children’s parents on the other hand ignored what the little darlings did and paid no attention to them or cleaned up after tham. Give me the dogs any day.
There’s a joke in there but I’ll leave it alone…
I’ll bet there is a nice home in th Uplands that would love 4 dogs. Plenty of rentals around there.
