Too busy to blog

This may very well be the last post until Monday. In fact, I might not even be able to moderate comments until then. So, I’m asking regular members to take a peek occasionally at the “awaiting moderation” folder and approve anything that isn’t obvious spam.

There’s lots of stuff going on a work and in my personal life (such as it is) that’s goign to keep me away from a computer.

This website uses IntenseDebate comments, but they are not currently loaded because either your browser doesn't support JavaScript, or they didn't load fast enough.

    Piranhas in Spoon River!
A buddy of mine was out swimming with his daughter in Spoon River. Darn, those fish were really biting. Then he went fishing, same place. Caught a 5″ piranha. Like bluegills- except for teeth and attitude.
They aren’t bad unless you’ve got an open wound. Except when they go crazy.
He’d been putting fish traps in wire mesh, small enough mesh to keep out the snapping turtles. Couple times lately, in his traps, he’s found just bones.
Everyone knows the corn belt’s moving north. Thirty years ago, everyone had a snowmobile. Now if you see one, it’s heading for Wisconsin. And piranhas can stand cold. Just like bluegills. Except for teeth- and attitude.

Ah yes… here is a good reason NOT to use your real name on the net. It is one reason why I use Mahkno and not my real name. You never know what psychotic freaks are out there:

This kind of mayhem is pretty common in Texas. I’m surprised anyone noticed.
