One of these things doesn’t belong

July 29, 2007
By Billy Dennis

So, I’m driving to work behind a blue Ford pick-up truck with an NRA sticker in the window.

And an Obama ‘08 sticker.

Either the guy is a liberal who like to hunt. Or he’s a gun nut who really is ticked off about the war.

betcha that Obama sticker was a practical joke by one of his friends, who’s probably hanging upside down in his garage, getting field dressed.

    How about this one:

In Tazewell County, in 2004, Bush got only 4 more votes than Obama, meaning a great many people voted for both Bush and Obama; how in the hell does someone support both???

BTW, again in Tazewell County, Keyes got more votes than Kerry. There are some strange strange people over there.

Joe Biden’s response to the You Tube question during the debate on CNN tonight was a classic.

Joe Biden’s response to the You Tube question from the fruitcake who called his automatic rifle his “baby” during the debate on CNN tonight was a classic.

A minvan was on University and Pioneer Parkway with a “It’s a child not a choice” sticker and “Freedom is not Free.”

So this person is your typical love every child until it is born then it is alright to bomb their countries.

Wellwisher: Because they’re not crazy enough to want far lefties in charge of our foreign policy.

Maybe this person simply refuses to be lumped in with the fascists (R) or the socialists (D). I am a card-carrying member of the NRA, and I could see myself possibly voting for Barack Obama. Anyone but that crazy b**ch Hillary.

In a completely unrelated topic, does anyone know what the timeline is for the refund checks from Ameren?

I see nothing at all inconsistent about being a Democrat that believes in the entire Constitution. The ACLU might like to call it the “embarrassing amendment”, but that’s why I am a card carrying member of both the ACLU and the NRA.

It’s possible to be a member of the NRA and still not be a gun nut or even a single issue voter (and if that single issue is guns… well you’re a gun nut.)

Vonster: uh…. you didn’t get it did you?

So instead they want far lefties in Congress and far righties in the White House? Why not vote for Keyes and have both far righties in Washington?

There is no political ideology in the universe that makes it ok to support both Bush and Obama.

My impression has been that American voters tend to favor balance between Congress and the Executive branch. Democrats controlled Congress for over 40 years but we managed to elected a few Republican presidents… same voters.

  12. Wellwisher on July 31, 2007 at 2:40 pm

That may have been true 40 years ago, but there is nothing balanced about this Republican Party.

  13. Vonster on July 31, 2007 at 3:05 pm

And the Demos are? Letting themselves be run by Soros, the KOS Kidz and some genuine neo-communists? And what exactly do you mean by balanced?
