Best. Bash. Evar.

August 2, 2007
By Billy Dennis

My belated thanks to averyone who showed up at last night’s Blogger Bash at Donnellys Shamrock Pub. A fun time was had by all. I’m going to go out on a limb and say this was the best bash ever. Lots of good food and laughter. If you were a blogger and yoru ears were burning last night … yep, we were talking about you.

No doubt I am forgetting somebody, and I apologize in advance and grovel for forgiveness.

No, no, I left him home to nap and stuff. And he made me spaghetti squash while I was at the bash, so it actually worked out REALLY well! And as noted, that was a superfun bash!

Leaving me to pick the place would never find us at a chain restaurant, which might not suit everyone. Though Donnelly’s is one of my favorites, I’m inclined to say that the separate room allowed us a little privacy which afforded us to get a bit loud and that was 1/2 the fun of it.

Bill, in your eyes, what would it take for a female NOT to be “lovely and talented”?

I agree- best bash ever. It was a blast.

The private room was definitely a perk. And Bill, you are TOO wound too tight! :)

    Bill –

Not so much forgot as . . . reserved for special occasions. I will wear my catwoman suit when everyone else wears their superhero secret identity costumes. Sort of a “you show me yours, I’ll show you mine” thing.

I believe Eyebrows promised a Halloween blogger bash at her place this year!

Are you saying Blogger Bash’s aer NOT special occasions? ;-)

No, no, I shall have an outdoor blogger potluck when it cools off a little (and I can find a week that isn’t berserk). The Hallowe’en party is MUCH huger than a blogger bash. :) But I expect a large blogger turnout and clever costumes from the blogger contingent!

    EM,
I’ve already chosen a Halloween get-up for this year’s party at La Casa Del Duzor, but I fear an Atlanta Falcons jersey and a stuffed dog with a shock collar may be a BIT inappropriate for certain company. Ruling??

I suppose it depends on who has access to the on/off button, Cory.

I’m going to wear my English medieval knight’s armor just in case I end up sitting between CJ & Elaine :)

Up to you! Just keep in mind it’s a family event and decide how many 8-year-olds you want to explain your costume to. And how many of their parents!

I’m super-psyched to do it again this year after last year off. The invite list is like four times the size of two years ago, because we hadn’t been here long then.

Those of us from outside the semi- beltway(I-474) had a good time as well

  13. Cory on August 2, 2007 at 3:57 pm

I do believe Morton would be considered outside the beltway. Barely.

I don’t think explaining an animal cruelty joke to an eight-year-old is any parent’s idea of fun (or good), so I’ll take that as a no.

I guess I’ll just be a college dropout this year. AGAIN.
