Peoria

•       Motorists should expect temporary lane reductions on east and westbound I-74 from Perry Avenue to Nebraska Avenue from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, for striping work.

•       Crews also will stripe the following entrance and exit ramps throughout this period:
-Glendale Avenue (westbound entrance ramp),
-Glen Oak Avenue (eastbound entrance and exit ramps and westbound exit ramp),
-Knoxville Avenue (east and westbound entrance and exit ramps),
-University Street (east and westbound entrance and exit ramps)

East Peoria

•       Motorists should expect a right lane closure on I-74 from Pinecrest Drive to Altorfer Street from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, through Friday, Aug. 31, for storm sewer work.

    There’s also some construction going on along Washington Road in Washington and Sunnyland. Use Centennial to get to School St. if you’re traveling into Sunnyland, but use Cummings from the highway if you’re trying to get into Washington. You’ll be glad you did.
