Media: Weather guy releases his inner Bevis and Butthead

If Chris Allen, the weatherman for WBKO in Bowling Green, Kentucky, wishes he had just one do-over in his entire life, I’ll bet it would be that he would have resisted the urge to behave like a seventh-grader … at least while the cameras were rolling:

I mean … the guy asks like he’s never seen a mammary gland before. I think his male  co-workers ought to take him out to the Bowling Green version of Big Al’s and let him see one in real life so he isn’t so titillated when he sees a computer generated version.

I have no idea when this happened, but I hope the poor schmuck doesn’t get fired. Frankly, the co-worker who leaked this vid — which ended up on YouTube and Google Video — is the one who ought to get canned. For those who don’t know, newsrooms tend to be free-speech zones. That’s what happens you you put creative people with a healthy disdain for censorship in a room, and a lot of long hours and stress. You get a lot of grabassing and cussing.

My guess is he was preparing to tape one of those little weather “teases” you see in prime time, prior to the actual newscast, and he was just waiting for the director and engineers to put up the weather screen he’d be working on. One of his co-workers started rolling tape, and viola! you get this.

    Funny stuff.
