He’s ba-a-a-a-a-a-a-ck!

ojmug.jpgBack in June 1994, America was just beginning its love affair with the Internet. So the sensational trial of O.J. Simpson didn’t play out on the Blogosphere. The biggest celebrity scandal to play out on the blogs, so far, has been whether or not that silly twit of a hotel heiress spent enough time in jail on a traffic violation.

So thank you, O.J., for showing your ass in public again, and giving us something on which we all can devote our energies on, as opposed to trifling issues like the economy, the War in Iraq, the rise in Islamic fascism, the need to develop alternative sources of fuel, the decision on who the Hell is going to be the next president and the upcoming second season of “Heroes.”

For those not around or too young to appreciate it the last time around, the O.J. Simpson absorbed nearly every second of television media time. It dominated newspaper coverage too. Everyone had an opinion and it usually revolved around race, which is always a lighthearted topic.

So get ready for the media blitz folks. The media elite is gonna be treating this like the story of the century. The blogs will complain, but they will do the exact same thing.
