Local: It’s time for a Blogger Bash!
September 30, 2007 in Citizen Journalism
As per policy, Peoria-area bloggers gather regularly to share ideas and suggestions. And drink beer. We do this on the fifth Tuesday of the month (but only on months with fifth Tuesdays; it’s much simpler that way). October is one of those months.
I propose that the site for October’s little get-together be held at the location of our last: Donnellys Shamrock Pub. The food was great and the environment was great for fun and conversation. And there’s a big screen TV, in case there’s some Cubs baseball action.
There is also the possibility that Rich Miller, of Capitol Fax fame, might attend. It depends if the state legislature is still in session.
What say you, Peoria bloggers?

I say I had better ask for that day off. If you (we) want that room, we better call and reserve it!

Being that it is Oktober… shouldn’t it be at a local bierhaus? Like the Hofbrau?

Billy, lest they have forgotten, you should probably remind them of the “no show” policy

How long before Cory suggests Buffalo Wild Wings?

Cory is too smitten with the love bug to notice.

I’m cool with Donnelly’s, but as a 2nd choice I’d suggest Bar Louie. I’m sure the manager would just LOVE to meet us.

THIS IS A BAD IDEA.
The last Wednesday of October is a World Series game.

The Oct. 30 is a Tuesday, and Donelley’s has a big screen tv

Phew. No game. I wouldn’t be there if there was.

Hey, what about Buffalo Wild Wings?? They have LOTS of big TV’s!!

The World Series will probably be over by then anyway. The Angels will probably beat Philadelphia 4 games to 1.

Yeah, that’ll be a real barn-burner.
