Local: Correction on Sheridan Triangle project
I’ve received the following email from Peoria City Manager Randy Oliver:
Bill:
Your post on Sheridan Triangle in the CIP is incorrect. The confusion may have been that the Planning Department and the Public Work’s Department both made request for the same project. The correct information is as follows:
When the $200,000 was originally appropriated by Council there was not a clear vision or definition of the project. Initially there was some thought about using a portion of the $200,00 for engineering and the balance for some immediate improvements. Subsequently, the District Representative decided to use the majority of the funding for Engineering services to a comprehensive project. The Council Representative stated Tuesday night that she would like to see this project completed in a couple of years.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Randy
