There’s nothing more stupid than a white kid who wants to get drunk. Advertise, advertise, advertise.

Tasering a kid to stop him and give him a drinking ticket is totally excessive. If that kid were black, the entire south end of Peoria would be screaming in the streets right now.

Absolutely true but you’re a racist for saying it. ;-)

So police are supposed to let someone who is fleeing the scene walk away, because to stop tghrough force is excessive. Great. That means NO one will stop for the police. I hear the same nonsense when police actually chase drivers who don’t pull over for traffic tickets.

I was making an observation today that people the general public (and certainly white people who blog) are all in favor of getting tough on crime, but demand restraint from police and compassion for the accused when the accused are middle-class white kids.

    I am astounded.

I am certainly not in favor is using TASER when they are not needed, but this 19 year old adult resisted arrest. Where’s the concern for the police officer who was injured chasing this knucklehead?

Funniest part of the article (besides the mention of “pudding wrestling”):

Partygoers continued to arrive as police cordoned off the home. Several tried to walk past the law enforcement officers to get into the home.

“Clearly, these are not people who should erode whatever judgment and observational skills they have with alcohol,” said Washington Police Sgt. Jeff Stevens.

Ha ha ha! “Outta my way, officer — I’m 17 and I’m here for the big drinking party!” Duh.

Oh, and the kid that was tasered was resisting/fleeing an officer. Also not the most intelligent thing to do.

That’s what you get when kids are potted-up half the time.

    “All I need’s a cool buzz and a tasty wave…shaaaaaaaaaa”

They are all really good kids… they really are!! Not a delinquent among them.

  8. C. J. Summers on November 12, 2007 at 4:07 pm

I assume you’re being facetious, Mahkno, considering the tasered kid was on court supervision already….

  9. Mahkno on November 12, 2007 at 7:51 pm

Well someone had to throw in a ‘they are good kids’ remark. Court Supervision? Must not have been too serious an infraction.

It would have been much funnier if the article had said “puddin’ instead of pudding.

And Billy, I think Anon’s point was that there AREN’T any protests for the kids because they got what they deserved, and not “oh poor white kids”.

  11. Anon E. Mouse on November 12, 2007 at 8:56 pm

    Tony – LMAO @ “puddin”

Vonster – What are you people? On dope?

Cory – If it was my kid, they’d be thinking that the Tasering was the best part of the whole night after I picked him/her up at the jail a few days later.

“Hopefully, the number of arrests will serve as a reminder that in Washington, zero tolerance means zero tolerance.”- Washington’s police chief.

So…how long until he can replace Interim Peoria Police Chief Settingsgard?

I was going to comment on how stupid these kids were for advertising on Facebook, but it sounds like that was discovered after-the-fact. The party was brought down by the traditional nemesis of the drunken teenager wishing to parrr-tay – complaining neighbors.

That just goes to show ya … if you’re going to have a three-kegger with puddin’ wrastlin’, don’t forget to invite the neighbors!

I guess some people just care more about their community than others.
