Chase: On the other hand, we have talk radio guys who insist on calling him "Barack HUSSEIN Obama," as if that is what he had traditionally called himself. Unlike Hillary Clinton, who at one point made a point of calling herself "Hillary Rodham Clinton" once husband Bill needn't get re-elected.

And I share the right wingers' dislike and district of HRC. Obama doesn't walk on water, but he is a fairly honest person.

The point I've been trying to make, as an Obama supporter who has only lived in IL for three-some years, to my many non-Illinois resident friends, in regards to voting for Obama, please, is this: I've lived in 5 states now, NY, NJ, WA, FL and now IL. I thought Florida politics was bad, and I lived there through the 2000 and 2004 elections - but none of those states have ANYTHING on the bullshit that is Illinois politics! Bitter partisan fighting, nasty mudslinging, and a serious rift between the major city and the rest of the state. It's worse than NYC vs. yes, there is a state of New York. And Obama succeeded here, in the whole state. Democrats and Republicans like him here - which is saying something! "Vetted" - as far as I'm concerned, if you survive Illinois politics without serious injury or ensuing mental instability or jail time, you're "vetted."

Limbaugh, Hannity, Laura Ingram and Michael Savage have been vociferously defending Barack Obama at length, against every Clinton attack to the point of spending considerable lengths of their shows breaking down the clinton attacks, Obama's responses and coaching Obama on how he should respond.

All of them state open that while his political positions are not that different from Clinton or Edwards that Obama is a decent fellow, symbolically significant to the country as to where it has come in the issue of race, and that he intelligently presents liberal positions without the demagoguing and divisiveness of Clinton and Edwards.

The Clinton's are loathed by talk radio because the Clinton's are categorical liars that will say anything to gain and maintain power. That is the same problem that talk radio has with McCain. McCain lies and he is dirty going back to the Keeting 5-14, but he calls it a personal attack when anyone raises the issue about him, whether it is immigration, campaign finance, abortion or taxes.

On the D-side: O is up 50-25. But we are campaigning hard anyway as we are looking to try to sweep the delegates.

In IL-18, there are 4 delegates up for grabs. If HRC wins 15% or more, she gets 1 delegate. If she gets up to 37.5 %, she gets 2 delegates.

The good news (from my end) is that during my last door to door (past weekend), the D's seemed to be very high on Obama.

Personally, I'd help out Edwards supporters too; any votes that aren't HRC helps us out.
