Local: Ch-ch-changes on the Peoria City Council

March 31, 2008
By Billy Dennis

A source very close to the situation tells me that one of the five at-large members of the Peoria City Council plans to resign in order to seek the position as Peoria City Manager.

This council member member has apparently secured six votes from the remaining 10 members of the council. Should that fail, however, he is prepared to return to life as a private citizen and open a motorcycle repair store, perhaps located in one of the city’s many TIF districts or enterprise zones.

An announcement will be made tomorrow.
