• It’s good to hear that Percy Baker is doing well after heart transplant surgery and is itching to start helping the community again, this time by advocating for organ donation.
• Hey, if I was stranded in Peoria Heights, I’d get a little hot under the collar myself.
• So what’s the real story? Officials from Peoria County blame OSF Medical Center for holding up a sale of county property to the hospital, but OSF officials say they are waiting for a legal opinion from the county before proceeding? Seems like someone would pick up the damn phone and ask State’s Attorney Kevin Lyons what he thinks.
• The award-winning editorial board of the Peoria Journal Star has issued the newspaper’s official institutional opinion on scams that target the elderly. They are opposed.
