Reporters are ignorant, lazy, leftist swine
Every once in a while, I pop on over to see what post is atop Acidman’s blog. Today, it is this one, and I just had to share:
How many news reporters do you know? I know a bunch of them, and almost without exception they are ignorant, leftist swine. They are as lazy as a cut dog, too. They are more concerned about their hair than they are about the news. I went to J-School. I know who these people are.
Hey, whaddaya know? I went to j-school too. I like most reporters. But I see his point. The industry is sick with mushy-thinking lefties who regurgitate the crap their professors told them. Most wise up as they get older and get beat up by taxes and exposure to an endless parade of self-serving politicians and bureaucrats. The rest become editorial writers.
God, I miss that stiff-necked S.O.B.

you forgot overpaid!
God forbid people value what a professor says, after all.

Hey, aren’t/weren’t you a reporter also?
Oh, sure, tar the swine by lumping them in with journalists.
‘Course, I am one of them swine, though cain’t say I ever seen the inside o’ one a them journ-o-lism classes you’re talkin’ about. Examples of said mushy leftist ignorance much preferred to tired ol’ vituperatin’ generalities. Just sayin’.
Funny, tho.
Billy,
You and most others who constantly whine about the media wouldn’t know a leftist if it bit you on your backside.
When I have more time, I’ll pop over to Acidman’s site to see what he is babbling about.
Until then, I’d just like to see you folks who claim to be media specialists make some comments dealing with simple errors in reporting that go unchecked.
Just the other day Rick Sanchez of CNN had an excellent piece on Bill O’Lielly and his error prone ways (frankly, this is one reason I would never want to be a reporter or newsperson – I make too many mistakes as it is and would be embarrassed as all get up to make the errors that so many make in the media on a daily basis).
There’s one problem right there — imagining that O’Reilly is a journalist.
Our local papers have maybe one reporter to cover everything. As a result, by necessity they rely on press releases and fed information in addition to attending meetings and events.
Overpaid John? Huh?! I knew a reporter working in Joplin, MO. He was making 17k a year…that was with overtime. He might make 30k on his third reporting job with 6-8 years under his belt. Ya, rolling in the dough.
