Looking at Globe Energy’s business with taxpapers

Has Globe Energy gotten around to repaying ANY of the $170,873 lent to them by Peoria County taxpayers back in June 2007? They hadn’t made a single payment as of July 3, 2008.

Certainly they have, right? I mean, they can hire a downtown attorney to send threatening letters to bloggers, certainly they must be flush with cash.

  1. steve weibring says:

    Steve

    good luck

you got something to loose. If you loose, things are different.

if need another job, other employer’s view you as trouble maker, won’t hire you

go ahead, inflict pain if you can.

Illinois law is for the employers though

Check out the fourth paragraph, first sentence of what Bill Prather, then Chair of the Peoria County Board wrote back in July, 2007.

    • Billy Dennis says:

      And that sentence would be:

Globe Energy, owned in part by Caterpillar, Inc., has purchased property in Pioneer Industrial Park with the intent of establishing its global business center and world manufacturing plant in Peoria County.

Well knock me over with a feather. A company owned by The Big Yellow God is suing me. Who would have thought that Caterpillar would even think of intimidating it’s critics.

If Caterpillar owns part of Globe, than every dime Globe spends trying to silence me includes a handful of pennies from Caterpillar.

  3. Thank you GMK for posting the website about Globe. How can a company
owned in part by Caterpillar qualify for a GAP loan? One would think that the requirements for applying for a GAP would disqualify a company with an international company’s partial backing from even applying. AND Globe has not paid 1 cent back of the loan! Wonder what other businesses in the TriCounty area are playing the same game?
