Kelli was (and is) probably the best new reporter to come through WEEK if not the whole Peoria TV market for several years regardless of the few goofs mentioned in this post.

This was hardly my brightest moment but I was quickly told by two of my favorite mentors (who happened to be sitting at the anchor desk laughing hysterically in the background) that everyone in television news has at least one moment like this.

What people don’t see is that when you have a studio FULL of people who all simultaneously “lose their cool” it’s hard to re-gain your composure. It was a case of contagious hysterics that I don’ regret in the slightest. Despite a bit of embarrassment, it was one of the best laughs of my life amongst a family of co-workers whom I miss dearly today.

Ic, this isn’t even the funniest Kelli Watson clip. When Pakistan held its elections she was anchoring and started off a story by saying “Pakistani ere… elections”. If you can find that clip, THAT would be awesome.
