Where’s Schock? Posing for GQ

Via Reliable Sources, Peoria’s Congressman, Aaron Schock, is busy reaching out to constituents through a new medium — a men’s fashion and lifestyle magazine:

The Republican wunderkind from Illinois got the star treatment from Details magazine last spring; now GQ is featuring the 28-year-old freshman in a four-page fashion spread — its first such spread featuring a politician.

And that’s Gentleman’s Quarterly, not Congressional Quarterly.

At least he isn’t showing off his abs.

…and yet his fans criticize the president for his media presence.

He got elected because he was pretty so what does one expect. He’s a good face with no substance. Keep chasing the camera Aaron, the political ladder awaits.

Lest people think all he does is pose for magazines, he does tend to get interviewed a lot on substantive issues.

Looks like a photo shop moment

I’m surprised it wasn’t Details magazine.

Aaron Schock is not a serious man. He’s a hustler.

Interviewed yes. Uniquely substantive answers… um… no. He is very good at memorizing GOP talking points.

Obama was on the cover of GQ last month. You critics can dis Schock all you want but it’s because you disagree on issues, not because you don’t like government officials who get media attention. Schock’s articulation of his positions is always a good bit more original than party talking points. That’s why he was elected and will be re-elected by large numbers…regardless of many hypocritical jealous critics. Obama in GQ several times=good. Schock in GQ once=bad, not serious, no substance.
