Happy birthday, Winona

Winona Ryder is 38 today. She starred in Lucas, Edward Scissorhands, Heathers and Alien: Resurrection. The Alien flick is the only one I actually saw. Oh, yeah, she was Spock’s mother for about 45 seconds in the recent Star Trek movie. The character died when the blew up the planet Vulcan.

I make note of her birthday because she was, at one point, taking more prescription medication that I am at this moment.

Winona is 38, not 32, and how did you not see Heathers? It is one of the great dark comedies.

“Heathers” is her best movie — and still entertaining. It’s worth watching just to see the cop show the other cop the bottle of mineral water and say, “Does this answer your question?”
