Press release:

Statement from Republican gubernatorial candidate Andy McKenna on Illinois’ jobless rate jumping to 11% the highest in 26 years

“Unemployment has skyrocketed to eleven percent and all Governor Quinn can talk about is raising taxes, freeing prisoners, and bringing terrorists to Illinois as a means of job creation.

“The misplaced priorities of the Blagojevich-Quinn era have put our state on the brink of bankruptcy, which is why Springfield needs an outsider who will freeze spending, hold the line on taxes, and put an end to political corruption.

“Matt Murphy and I are ready to put our house back in order and begin the process of putting Illinois families back to work.”
