Quinn nods off at forum (UPDATED)

This is a campaign video being put out by the Dan Hynes campaign. It shows current Gov. Pat Quinn having a hard time keeping his eyes open at a forum. It looks like he’s nodding off to the sound of a woman about her family’s medical problems. It really makes Quinn look bad.

Now, I don’t think Quinn was bored. He was probably just overtired. Lord knows I’ve drifted off at a meeting or two. But then I’m not running for governor. Politics is about perception. You can’t do stuff like this, whether you are on some village board or if you are running for governor.

UPDATE: Gov. Quinn released this video in response. It shows that he was far was unconcerned with the health tragedy faced by the speaker:

His office is claiming he just had his head down and was taking notes. It looks to me like he was nodding off.

    Cheap shot……..while it appears that Quinn may have nodded off momentarily………..but who hasn’t !

    I’m a new resident of Illinois, I think it demeans Hynes campaign.

    No question he was cat-napping/he is overworked and campaigning too hard and long and early. But you have to be awake Gov.!
