I have to admit that a few years ago, I used to read the blog Little Green Footballs a lot. But my enchantment with LGF shrunk as my disillusionment over the Bush administration’s handling of the War on Terror grew.
Apparently it’s safe to go back now:
The American right wing has gone off the rails, into the bushes, and off the cliff.
I won’t be going over the cliff with them.
Seriously, he has a list of reasons. And they mirror my own recent comments about some on the right.
We need a real conservative opposition party, a party in the mold ofg Ronald Reagan or Barry Goldwater. But the wingnuts are in charge of the Republicans.
UPDATE: LGF is getting a ton of hate mail and comments abotu this post. His reaction:
The funny thing is, that post about “Why I Parted Ways with the Right?” I wrote it in about three minutes last night. It’s been brewing in my cortex for years, and something triggered the release; exactly what, I don’t really know. Guess it was time.
Funny, but that’s how it is sometimes. The posts that garner the biggest reaction aren’t the ones you labor over. They are the ones that spring fully formed from the cortex. These are the posts with the most truth.
