Shatner whips Limbaugh’s butt on subject of health care

December 3, 2009

On television, William Shatner often plays fictional blowhards. On his interview show “Raw Nerve,” Shatner tangled with real-life blowhard Rush Limbaugh.

Shatner often plays a clown these days. But he showed a flash of the heroic Capt. Kirk in this clip. It’s not surprising that he demolished Limbaugh. As you recall, Kirk on more than one occasion could demolish androids and super computers with his voice.

Are you sure you have the right video up? Cause I don’t see any ass whooping going on…

Perhaps you missed the video of Limbaugh responding to Shatner’s specific question with a weak analogy, and Shatner simply refusing to let Limbaugh get away with it, and Limbaugh coming off looking like an ass because he can’t answer a direct question without deflecting it by wrapping himself in self-righteousness.

THAT is the video I’m talking about.

It wasn’t a weak analogy, it just highlights the different philosophy of those who believe in nationalized healthcare and those who are opposed to it. You think it’s weak because you fall into the camp that Limbaugh described as believing in some moral obligation to provide healthcare to all.

Although it was a good debate and a civil one, neither party whipped the other’s butt.

You took the words out of my mouth diane… It’s a fundamental difference in beliefs on whether or not health care is a right.

Dittos, I saw no rear getting it here, just a fundamental difference in the role of government and the best way to accomplish healthcare reform.

      “dittos”? Seriously?

Keeping a conversation on-topic is not akin to a “butt-whipping.” And I certainly didn’t see any “demolished” here. By either party.

    Q. You know what you get when you cross Rush Limbaugh and his favorite drug?

    A. An Oxymoron. (Rimshot.)

Shatner had Limbaugh back on his heals. Face it. Shatner p0wned Limbaugh.

      • 11bravo on December 3, 2009 at 8:25 pm

Yes, I suppose if you mean it in the sense that the Bears have “powned” the rest of the NFL this year… then yeah I guess he was powned.

Unsurprising. Limbaugh couldn’t reason his way out of a paper sack.
