Irish dancers invade Peoria area

Isle of Erin Irish Dancers, a group of lively Irish dancers from Peoria, will be performing at several locations across Central Illinois to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.

* Saturday, March 13, 5:00 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Church in Bloomington, 1209 W. Locust St.
* Sunday, March 14, 5:00 p.m. at Knights of Columbus in Galesburg, 1556 E. Fremont St.
* Wednesday, March 17, 12:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. at Paddy O’Flaherty’s Authentic Irish Pub & Eatery in Morton, 201 E. Ashland Ave.

The dancers range in age from 4 to 26, and are led by Isle of Erin Dance Studio director Erin Wukitsch, past Champion Irish Dancer at the State and National level, who also studied under Riverdance dancer and two-time World Champion Richie Reese.

Having been practicing their jigs and reels for months in anticipation of St. Patrick’s Day, the dancers promise family-friendly, toe-tapping entertainment.
