I got a note in my inbox from former WHOI reporter Monica Landeros:
Hey … sorry for the mass email… but I got the job here in Jacksonville !
I’m newest reporter for First Coast News: firstcoastnews.com
Actually, I am what they call MMJ–multi media journalist. write, report, edit, shoot video.
Monica is a very, very rare sort...

Former WHOI reporter makes good
A question about cannibalism
Remember adorable news chica Monica Landeros? Before she bolted WHOI for a new job out of town, we bonded over a mutual love for Star Trek. She recently passed along this clip.
Do you know what the funny thing is? I’m posting a link to his clip after seeing it, but not hearing it. I’m...

Enterprising reporters avoid dull meetings
For a minute, I was worried that Monica Landeros didn’t like me. The diminutive WHOI reporter popped into city hall before the start of Tuesday’s meeting. She stayed away from the reporter’s table, where the usual suspects were shooting the crap and catching up with each other.
I spied Monica off to the side of...

WHOI’s Monica Landeros has Guardian Angel’s scoop
Before the start of Tuesday’s council meeting, Monica gave me a heads up to expect the report on last night’s 10 p.m. newscast. Unfortunaly, I was tied at all night schmoozing, I mean networking, with the newly elected Peoria City Council person and assorted other political animals.
I’ve read the report she report she posted...
