Former Ill. Gov. Jim Edgar won’t run to replace Rod Blagojevich. I’m guessing that he finally decided he doesn’t want to face the scrutiny. There are new “rules” in place for what voters will and will not tolerate. And more importantly, Patrick Fitzgerald wasn’t U.S. District Attorney when he was in office last time.
