I hear that Elliott’s picked up its spiffy new City of Peoria-issued liquor license today, shortly after 3 p.m.
But they still have to travel to Springfield pick up their retailer’s license.
The first legal drink will likely be served Wednesday night.
So where will Peoria area 18-year-olds go to see their first live naked girls? Again, Springfield.

Well, I was wrong. Tonight’s Peoria City Council meeting didn’t end sometime after 10 p.m. as I predicted. It ended shortly after 8 p.m.

Vacation is over.
After a three-week break, the Peoria City Council will meet at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday. And judging from the agenda (viewable here), it looks to be a long meeting. Bring a pillow, as I would not be surprised if this thing doesn’t end until after 10 p.m..
