More arrests means there’s more being done

The Journal Star reports on the report that Peoria County is record a record number of felony arrests.
My two cents: Good.
Yeah, there’s more violent crime out there. But they are making arrests. The trick now is to get them through the court system, hopefully with the arrestees cooling their heals behind bars.

Rural county life agrees with me

Back when I was a resident of the City of Peoria, I would be ecstatic at this:

Wishy-washy editorial on booking fees

I hate it when the Journal Star does this. They’ve got an editorial in today’s paper addressing the dispute between the City of Peoria and Peoria County over the

New Peoria (County) Blogger

Well, I hope so anyway. “Precinct Committeeman” has started Peoria County Politics. There’s just one post, dated June 26.
With my blogging attention focused on the city, this guy could serve a real need out there in Limestone Township, which is always a hotbed of political intrigue.
